Megan Corbin

Department: Languages and Cultures

I have served on CAE since 2018, serving on both the publicity and outreach and the assessment subcommittees during that time. I also served over summer on a special advisory group for the formation of the ASA and currently serve on an ad hoc advisory subcommittee for the ASA. My commitment to advising excellence stems from having been a first generation student completely lost on one of the biggest campuses of the Big Ten universities and having depended heavily on advisors for guidance as a result. The advisors with whom I worked got me to where I am today and I want to provide that same level of service for our students at WCU as well. I would be honored to continue working on promoting advising best practices across campus and representing the needs of the students of the College of Arts and Humanities in those conversations. Thank you for considering me for this committee position!
