Department: Psychology I have served on this committee for 7 years, and as a co-chair of the committee for the past six years. I also serve as the faculty associate to the Academic Support and Advocacy Center, a group dedicated to supporting students in transition. Moreover, I have a long record of advising and student support within my own department.
While my time as co-chair of the CAE is drawing to a close, I would appreciate the opportunity to remain with this group and contribute to our work (especially advising training and communication) for the next few years.

Department: Computer Science I want like to nominate myself to serve as the College of Sciences and Mathematics Representative on the Committee for Advising Excellence.
My advising philosophy is built around helping students navigate programs efficiently, understand how to connect their coursework to future growth in the real world, and build the confidence to persevere when things get messy. I’m especially interested in strengthening advising as a relationship-driven practice that can provide students with clearer pathways, earlier interventions when they drift off-track, and practical advisor support. In line with NACADA’s mission and vision, I’m committed to advancing advising practice through evidence-based improvement, collegial collaboration, and a student-success mindset that lasts well beyond graduation.
