Department: Special Education I have a genuine interest in serving as a member of the Committee for Advising Excellence. I have been at WCU since 2013, and have advised both undergraduate and graduate students alike. Our students rely on us to provide high quality advising to best steer them in their pursuit of completing their program/degree. Through membership on this committee, I hope to contribute my advising experience, and learn how to better serve our students in this capacity.

Department: Early and Middle Grades Education I would be honored to continue to serve the CESW as a member of the Committee for Advising Excellence. I have served on this committee since 2018 and have found it to be a valuable committee for learning about the changing needs of advisement on our campus. In my current role as chairperson, I have been able to bring a different perspective to the committee and would look forward to continuing to serve in that way. Advising is such an important component of our work with our students and I look forward to the possibility of continuing to be involved in CAE. I have also served on the Awards sub-committee since it began and would be willing to continue to serve in that role if elected.
