Rules for the Election

    • Only faculty members from the Department of Theatre and Dance may be nominated for this election.
    • Each department can have at most three representatives on CAPC.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rule or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each ballot submitted counts as a cast vote.
    • Members elected to at-large seats cannot be nominated for department representative seats.

Elizabeth Staruch


Department: Theatre and Dance

My name is Liz Staruch, and I am a faculty member in the Department of Theatre and Dance. During my tenure on CAPC, I contributed to the Undergraduate Policies Committee, the Academic Review Committee, and chaired the Program Review Committee. I also co-chaired Theatre and Dance’s reaccreditation process and previously served as co-chair of the CAH Faculty Advisory Committee, where I helped draft new mission and vision statements during the CAH reorganization.

Beyond the university, I served three terms as Regional Director with the national nonprofit, the American College Dance Association, and founded a global online arts faculty discussion group, which now includes over 3,000 members. These experiences have strengthened my dedication to faculty support and curricular development.

I would be honored to continue serving on CAPC and would sincerely appreciate your vote.
