Rules for the Election

    • Only faculty members from Interdisciplinary Studies and Academic Support may be nominated for this election.
    • Only non-classroom faculty may be nominated in this election.
    • Each department can have at most three representatives on CAPC.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rule or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each ballot submitted counts as a cast vote.
    • Members elected to at-large seats cannot be nominated for department representative seats.
    • Seats with longer terms will be filled first. In the case of an approve/disapprove ballot, candidates will be ranked according to number of approve votes.
    • This is a university-wide election.

Department: Interdisciplinary/Exploratory Studies

I work in both Exploratory and Interdisciplinary Studies advising, full-time, which means I advise first-year, transfer, traditional, and returning students on ALL WCU curricula, including General Education, Major requirements, and Minors. This work provides intimacy with and investment in all campus curricula, across colleges and departments. I have served on department curriculum committees in the past and, in my 18th year of college teaching, I am ready to serve, assist, and lead at the University-wide level. I would be honored to join and serve CAPC.
