Department: Early and Middle Grades Education

I have represented the College of Education and Social Work on the Committee for Excellence in Learning and Teaching for three years. I support the mission of CELT, which seeks to foster collaboration among faculty and students to build a scholarly community around teaching and learning. CELT has allowed me to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the university. It has been my pleasure to be a contributor to achieving the goals of CELT. Reading the CELT grant proposals has provided insight into the creativity of faculty who design projects to benefit our students. I have been inspired by the work of others at the university. I have enjoyed co-leading and participating in the CELT book club, where ideas are shared and professional growth flourishes. I hope to be able to continue to represent the CESW as a CELT representative.
