Department: English I am dedicated to supporting undergraduate researchers and the faculty who mentor them. I have mentored many students through course-based and independent undergraduate research projects in the humanities. In the past two years, I have mentored four WCUPA students who were accepted and participated in the Naylor Workshop for Undergraduate Research in Writing Studies, a workshop I have been involved in leading since 2014. I also co-wrote the book chapter “Circulation: Undergraduate Research as Consequential Publicness” in the Naylor Report on Undergraduate Research in Writing Studies (Parlor Press, 2020) and served as Co-Chair of the Standing Group for Undergraduate Research for the Conference on College Composition and Communication. As CUR College of Arts and Humanities Representative, I would look forward to collaborating with ORSP staff, supporting the SURF and SURI programs, and finding new ways to support the culture of undergraduate research at WCUPA.
