Rules for the Election

    • Faculty from the Department of Mathematics cannot be nominated for this election since that department has continuing representation on the committee.
    • Each department can have at most one representative on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee.
    • The election is decided by a plurality of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rules or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.
    • Seats with longer terms will be filled first.

I strongly believe in our faculty ability to perform the highest quality research, scholarly work and artistic performances. To support our faculty in reaching their professional goals time is an important factor. I would be happy to offer my expertise and services to support faculty through sabbatical leave application process, review faculty proposals, provide feedback and help to make decisions that would benefit individual faculty and continue to build strong reputation of West Chester University nationally and internationally.
