I am interesting in serving on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee. Faculty development is such an important part of academic freedom and postsecondary excellence. I would like to lend my share to the support of faculty development through service on this committee.

Department: Literacy

I would be honored to receive your vote to serve on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee as a representative of the College of Education and Social Work.

I currently serve on the University's CELT committee and the CESW's Research and Development committee; a responsibility on both committees is to review faculty applications for internal grants. In the past, I've served on the University's Academic Recognition Committee and in that capacity, I read nominations of faculty and made recommendations for a variety of awards. I enjoy learning about and supporting the research interests and scholarly pursuits of my colleagues across campus.

It would be a privilege to serve on the Sabbatical and Educational Leave Committee. Thank you for your consideration.
