Rules for the Election

    • Faculty from the Department of Nutrition may not be nominated for this seat since that department has continuing representation on the committee.
    • Each Department and each School within a College can have at most one representative on the university wide Tenure and Promotion Committee.
    • Membership on the committee is restricted to the following structure: 2 faculty representatives from each of the five academic Colleges and 1 faculty representative from the non-classroom faculty.
    • The election is decided by a majority of those casting votes unless such results violate the previous rules or the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions to fill. In the later case, each candidate will be voted on by an approve/disapprove ballot.
    • Each candidate selected counts as a cast vote.

Department: Nursing

Having served in a temporary capacity on the University Tenure and Promotion Committee this past year, I have developed a strong appreciation for this important shared governance role. The committee is essential to ensuring fair, consistent reviews that uphold West Chester University’s standards of faculty excellence. If elected, I will bring a thoughtful, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach grounded in a strong commitment to academic quality, equity, and faculty success. I was honored and humbled to see the wonderful work that faculty across the University participate in and hope to continue to provide support to faculty entering into the tenure and promotion process.
